The Southwest Region finished up its season Saturday with a great tournament followed by a BBQ. On the water Bill McAninch and Edgar Uyema managed to boat 15.42 lbs. to take home the top spot by almost three pounds over the second place Team Jubilado. Third place was held down by Lewis & Erickson with 12 lbs. even.
As the weigh in continued, the race for Angler of the Year was being fought out and it was tight. After seven tournaments and over 1300 points, Eric Wong & Jim Frumento squeeked by Bob Apger & Ron Glover by a mere 4 points. That's only .26 of a pound out of 83 pounds. Third place for the year went to Gerry Mahieu and Bob Lindgren.
