TRAVELERS REGION

National Bass West has partnered with San Diego Team Series to create a special travelers region! Now teams from both series can qualify for twoTournament of Champions.

National Bass West and San Diego Teams Series have joined forces to give the fishermen in Southern California the best of two great circuits.

TRAVELERS DIVISION (NEW)

A team can fish either NBW day/night or SDTS day/night events and if they are in the top 60% in the Travelers Division and have fished five total events or more with a minimum of two events in each region, they qualify to fish either series TOC or they can fish both TOC ‘s.  Plus, the champion of the Travelers Division will be fishing for free except lake fees the following year in the Travelers Only. Each circuit, paybacks, entry fees, TOC fees and rules will apply when you fish in the region Neither circuit is connected to each other, except by the travelers.

SD TEAMS SERIES

Kick-off to SDTS season will be at San Vicente on January 28,2023.

The county’s most exciting and longest-running team tournament series, (more than 30 years), kicks off January 28, 2023 with the San Diego Team (Day) Series event at San Vicente.  Hosting some of the finest tournament bass anglers in California, the Series will also test Lower Otay and El Capitan reservoirs with a year-end Tournament of Champions for both the Day and the Night series anglers.

Despite a $10 rise in permit fees, the San Diego Team Series will maintain its $300 entry fee, the lowest entry and highest payback in the region, at one per four payback on cash prizes for teams entered.  Included in that fee are city permits, insurance and a portion of the TOC entry fund.  The breakdown of the entry fees ($300) is posted on the website.

The exception will be the 2022 Anglers of the Year who earned an automatic free entry to the events, except for permit fees and TOC fund contribution.

A highlight of the year is free entry of the Top 10 teams (by points) into the two-day Tournament of Champions.  Also, in that field will be “bonus” teams who will pay the normal entry fees which will be added to the prize purse.

Each event will also feature a full, sit-down barbecue meal, made on the spot.  Following the presentation of cash and awards, a free drawing will be held for hundreds of dollars’ worth of prizes and gift certificates from local tackle dealers.  You can get in on the action by grabbing an entry form at local tackle shops, or by going to the website (sdteamseries.com) and filling out an online entry form.  Payment may be made by check a week ahead of the event (no checks on tournament day), cash only on the tournament date.
